As Russian troops expand their military operations in eastern Ukraine, the governor of the region has stated that Ukrainian forces may be forced to withdraw from parts of Donbas in order to avoid being taken captive.
The situation is described by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as being “extremely challenging” noting that Russian Armed Forces have made significant process in the battles.
Russia wants the eastern Ukraine and the Donbas region in order to achieve its first goal of the second phase of the war in Ukraine. Kremlin now concentrates its military operations against the Ukrainian city of Severodonetsk as there are street battles taking place in the streets.
We remind you that recently, Russian Ministry of Defense announced the capture of strategic town of Lyman while announcing that two Ukrainian Su-25s have been also shot down.
