Deir ez-Zor, Syria– In a development initially revealed by the Arab Al-Hadath TV, a strange poisoning incident has been reported in Syria, specifically in Deir ez-Zor, resulting in casualties and serious complications for several commanders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The incident, which took place on Thursday afternoon, has not only instilled fear among these groups but has also raised suspicions of involvement by secret services, likely from Israel or the United States, suggesting that no member of these Iran-backed groups is safe anymore.
The suspected attack, targeting specific significant figures within the Iranian IRGC, appears to have claimed the lives of four commanders, including Hajj Muqtada and Brigadier General Mortada Maulawi, indicating that if the information holds true, some highly organized intelligence service orchestrated the operation. The severity of the incident is further underscored by the critical condition of several others simultaneously poisoned, hinting at a deliberate intention to undermine the power of Iranian forces in the region.
Speculation is rife that this could be the handiwork of Mossad or the CIA, aiming to undermine the influence of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards in Deir ez-Zor, which also happens to be the largest city in eastern Syria.
