A Ukrainian soldier was killed amid shelling by Russian mercenaries in Donbass on Tuesday, and another was killed by an explosion.
Specifically, the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced:
“Today, on April 6th… the armed formations of the Russian Federation once again violated the ceasefire regime and hit Ukrainian army positions near the village of Nevelske.
As a result of enemy fire, which consisted mainly of mortar fire, a Ukrainian military officer was wounded. The soldier immediately received first aid, but unfortunately died.
Also, near Stepne’s defensive site, as a result of the explosion of a military vehicle by an unknown explosive device, a Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier suffered fatal injuries and died shortly afterwards,” the Ukrainian statement says.
