UK Defense Secretary James Heappey said Ukraine was targeting “perfectly legitimate” military targets inside Russia and that Western weapons being delivered to Kyiv could be used for that purpose.

“I think it is unquestionably true that the weapons that the international community is currently sending to Ukraine have the range they need to strike across the border,” he said on Times radio.

According to him, “Ukraine can hit anything that is considered a legitimate military target, in order to impede the operation of Russian Logistics (supply).”

The UK Defense Secretary also praised Ukraine for the limited use of such capabilities, at a time when Russia, as he said, is bombing entire cities and villages without taking into account the human losses.
