Ukrainian Foreign Minister criticized French President Macron

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmitry Kuleba, has responded negatively to comments made by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, regarding Russia, stating that Macron’s statements “humiliate France.”

Emanuel Macron said that “we must not humiliate Russia, so that on the day the fighting stops, diplomacy will be able to find a way out.”

Despite France’s financial and military support for Ukraine, the French president has reiterated that it would not be helpful to sever all ties between the European Union and Russia and completely humiliate Moscow.

In response to Macron’s comments, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister wrote in a twitter post:

“Calls to avoid humiliating Russia can only humiliate France or any other country. Because Russia is humiliating itself. Better to focus on how to put Russia in its place. That will bring peace and save lives” Kuleba stated.
