As we had informed you on GEOPOLITIKI.COM US Sixth Fleet Flagship Mount Whitney completed its transition from the Black Sea to the Meditteranean sea, and on its way through the Aegean sea it participated in exercises with the Greek Armed Forces
US Sixth Fleet released a statement about the exercise & the visit of the Chief of Hellenic National Defense General Staff Konstantinos Floros during the exercises with the Hellenic Navy & Air Force.
More specifically U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa stated:
We are honored to host Chief of Hellenic National Defense General Staff, US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt, and our other Greek distinguished visitors aboard the U.S. Sixth Fleet flagship, USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20), while operating in the Aegean Sea, on November 16! Visits like these are a testament to the strength of the NATO alliance.” said the statement of the US Sixth Fleet.
“It’s great to be back aboard the USS Mount Whitney as it returns from the Black Sea and passes again through the Aegean.
