USS Mount Whitney, the flagship of the US Navy’s Sixth Fleet, has begun the transition from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean sea after completing operations and exercises with NATO partners, the US Navy stated on a Twitter post.
“The US Navy’s Sixth Fleet flagship, Mount Whitney…began its southward transition from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean after completing naval operations and exercises with NATO allies and partners on 15 November,” the US Navy said in a statement.
The USS Mount Whitney was in the Black Sea for joint operations with NATO forces.

US Navy also said that on board the US flagship there is a crew from the US Sixth Fleet and the Command of NATO Naval Striking and Support Forces (STRIKFORNATO).
