The Greek Minister of Citizens’ Protection, Panagiotis Theodorikakos responded to the aggressive statements of the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova.
“Those who slander Russia is not Greece, it is not the Greek people who are against the illegal and unjust invasion of Russia in Ukraine, nor is the Greek Government slandering Russia. “The one who slanders Russia is the actions of its leadership,” replied the Greek minister in Zakharova, who accused Greece harshly for anti-Russian policy and propaganda on the Ukrainian crisis.
“It is an invasion that the whole of humanity sees as causing hundreds of deaths, while Greece has also mourned victims from expatriates.
Russia believed that everything in Ukraine would end in two days, while they believed that the Ukrainians would have a different attitude.
We have stated our positions. “Greece has condemned the Russian invasion and we support the Ukrainians with acts of solidarity, as they have received an unprovoked attack on their independence,” Takis Theodorikakos added.
The Greek Minister of Citizens’ Protection also commented on the posting of the Russian embassy in Athens, which called on the people to watch a specific television station in order to avoid propaganda, saying: “Greece is a free and democratic country and Greek citizens can watch programs from any TV channel they want “.
