Meeting between UAE and Greece – Perfect relations and military cooperation

The Greek General Staff announced that as part of the International Defense and Security Exhibition DEFEA 2021, Chief of Staff General Konstantinos Floros held a bilateral meeting with the Chief of the AirForce and Air Defence of the United Arab Emirates Staff Major General Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al-Alawi on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

During their meeting, the two Chiefs had the opportunity to exchange views on the conduct of joint activities, with particular emphasis on the Multinational Interdisciplinary Exercise INIOCHOS 21, as well as on bilateral air exercise in Souda.

These activities have contributed to promoting the interoperability of the participating units while strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, the common objective of which is to consolidate peace, security, and stability in the wider region.

They also referred to the construction of new infrastructure and facilities in an area that has been allocated to the Armored Training Center in Avlonas and has been configured to serve the personnel of the UAE who will be trained. These facilities were visited in the context of his presence in Greece by the Chief of the UAE air force on Sunday, July 11, 2021.

Finally, the Greek Chief of staff thanked the Air Force Chief of the UAE for his presence at the DEFEA 2021, explaining the special relationship developed by the Armed Forces of the two countries.
