ZEUS | US and Greek AH-64 Apache Attack helicopters exercise

Exercise ZEUS was completed on Thursday at the shooting range “KRANEAS” between Greek and US AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.

Attack helicopters from the Hellenic 1st Army Aviation Brigade and US 7th Squadron of 17th Cavalry Regiment (7-17 CAV), which has been deployed at the Hellenic Army Air Base in Stefanovikio as part of Operation «ATLANTIC RESOLVE» participated in exercise “ZEUS”.

As announced by the Hellenic Army General Staff during the “exercise, virtual shots were fired against ground targets and multiple scenarios of regular missions of attack helicopters were executed”

The helicopters operated “in mixed formations in scenarios of Advanced Helicopter Supply Points, in order to increase the interoperability between the attack helicopter units of the two countries.

The Greek Armed Forces participated in the Exercise with 4 Apache helicopters and 1 CH-47D helicopter and the US Armed Forces with 4 AH-64 attack helicopters” concludes the announcement of the Hellenic Army General Staff.
