According to a statement recently made by Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, the Greek Foreign Minister responded once again to Turkey by saying:
“I completely understand Turkey’s frustration over Greece’s letter to the United Nations; the letter in which we responded to all Turkish claims in a completely convincing and legally substantiated manner.
I believe, however, that the Turkish side should avoid insults, name-calling and constant escalation. This leads nowhere.
Greece will continue on the path it has chosen; the path of International Law, the International Law of the Sea, the path of the United Nations, the path of European and global values.
With statements like the recent ones, Turkey simply exposes itself. And it demonstrates to everyone, even to the most skeptical ones, how right we are when we say that Turkey is threatening us.” the Greek Foreign Minister said in his statement.
