The Russian cruise ship Moskva sunk while being towed to Sevastopol, according to the Russian state agency RIA Novosti, citing the country’s Ministry of Defense.

“During the towing of the Moskva cruiser in the port of destination, due to the damage suffered during the fire by the ammunition explosion, the ship lost its stability. “In stormy seas, the ship sank,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

It is recalled that the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet was damaged according to Russia due to an ammunition explosion and according to Ukraine due to a hit by a Ukrainian anti-ship Neptune missile.

The Russian ship was severely damaged and evacuated immediately, without any reports of casualties from the explosion.

Experts had already warned that after the ship received the blow, whether it came from an ammunition explosion or from a Ukrainian missile, it could sink.
