Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, has said that Western countries have caused the conflict in Ukraine and that it is only in the interests of the United States.
According to Russian media, Lukashenko blamed the West for the war in Ukraine in an interview, saying:
“The West pushed them into this war.” If [Biden] makes a phone call, if the United States adopt a position in favour of establishing peace on Ukrainian territory, the war may end very quickly…
On the other hand, it is unlikely to make such a decision. The reason for this is that the current scenario in Ukraine is in the interests of the United States. That’s exactly what the United States needs, ” Mr Lukashenko said in an interview with Japan’s TBS network.
