In a recent incident, a Turkish Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed in the Kandil region of southern Kurdistan, located in northern Iraq, and subsequently fell into the hands of Kurdish PKK fighters.
Local Kurdish PKK rebels reported that on the evening of June 14, the Turkish drone lost control and crashed in the Girê Savaş area.
Kurdish forces in the vicinity swiftly recovered the wreckage, and one of the retrieved parts displayed the serial number “T175.” The ANF news agency released video footage showing a Kurdish fighter showcasing the Turkish drone parts.
