US F-22 fighter jets have been deployed at an air base in the United Arab Emirates to support their defense.
This decision of the USA for the F-22’s comes after a wave of rocket attacks on Abu Dhabi (UAE) by the Houthis in Yemen, the US Air Force announced on Saturday.
In recent weeks, the Houthis who are allied with Iran, have launched a series of strikes that have also threatened US troops stationed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The F-22s landed at a UAE military airfield as part of a multilateral US support for the Emirates. The fighter jets were deployed in consultation with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates, the US Air Force said in an announcement.
