Four new RHIB-type boats were received by the Hellenic Navy as a donation from the US Government, which will join the force of the Underwater Demolition Command (DYK).

The Hellenic Navy announced:

“On Thursday, May 19, 2022, four newly built US Navy RHIB boats were delivered to the Navy at the facilities of the Underwater Demolition Command (DYK / OYK), in the area of ​​the Naval Fort of Scaramanga, as a donation from the US government.

The receipt of the newly built vessels was attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Vice Admiral P. Koulouris, the American Attaché of Defense Captain M. Biery, the head of ODC / GREECE Colonel D. McDonald and the Commander of DYK Lieutenant Commander K. Nasopoulos.

These vessels are going to join the force of DYK, significantly upgrading its operational capabilities.”
