During a speech in Ankara, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, made another reference to US bases located in Greece as well as allegations regarding terrorist organizations.
“Greece allows the establishment of American bases on its territory while terrorist organizations roam there. No one should expect us to make the same mistake,” he said referring to Finland’s and Sweden NATO bids.

Regarding the new attack of the Turkish troops in northern Syria, he stated that the operations continue and that the Turkey does not want to be bothered by the Russians and the Americans.
“We have dismantled the terrorist corridor that is being created on our southern border,” Erdogan stated, adding that “new operations on the ground, in the air and at sea with all our forces on hand are under way.”
