The intention of a nuclear strike from Greece is being reported in the Turkish media, as the Turkish Milli Gazette newspaper was published yesterday, writing on its front page the headline “They provide nuclear support to Greece”.
The “nuclear” report begins with the interview given to the Turkish newspaper by Admiral and former Turkish Chief of Staff Cihat Yaycı, during which, misinterpreting the statement made in Greek Parliament by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stating that Greece “have the only European nuclear power on our side”, Cihat Yaycı said that this is a nuclear strike threat against Turkey.
“It’s an international crime! In other words, they are threatening to use nuclear energy, “said Cihat Yaycı, commenting on the statement of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Yayci also made a provocative statement that Greece has no shores in the Eastern Mediterranean and nevertheless interferes in the region. He added that Greece constantly refers to islands such as Rhodes, Kastelorizo and Crete, but this is wrong because, as he says, Greece is not an island state like the Philippines and therefore maritime jurisdictions start off the coast of the mainland and not from the Greek islands.
